How do I register and create my portfolio?

The following applies only to visitors that are not already signed in.

To create your portfolio, you will first need to register an account with These Models. Begin by clicking the "Register" button on the site's navigation bar. You will be directed to the registration page where you will be asked for a little information, including your desired account password and email address.

Upon submission of the required account information, an email will be sent (usually within a couple minutes) to the email address used to register the account. If after a few moments the verification email has not appeared in your inbox, be sure to check your SPAM folder, as this email is automatically generated and can be targeted by SPAM filters. To ensure delivery of emails from These Models, add notifications@thesemodels.com to your email's contact list.

Follow the link within the email to verify your account. Upon successful verification, you will be automatically logged in to your account. After signing in to your account, click the "Profile" link above the search bar on the top-right of the page to begin editing portfolio information.

How do I add and remove photographs from my portfolio?

The following applies only to members already registered and signed in to the site.

As a registered member of These Models, you are able to upload photographs to accompany your professional portfolio. To upload a photograph, click the "Photos" link that appears above the search bar when signed in. You will be directed to the photography management page, where you can upload and remove photographs from your portfolio.

To upload a photograph, click the "Browse" or "Choose File..." button shown on this page and locate the image file you wish to upload. Please note that images uploaded to the website are limited to 2MB in size and 1600 pixels in width/height. Once your photograph has been uploaded, you may be asked to crop your photograph for use in a smaller, thumbnail format.

To delete a photograph, return to the photography management page using the "Photos" link at the top of the site. Click the "Delete" button that appears below any of the photographs you have already uploaded to your portfolio. Upon confirmation, the photograph and any comments associated with it will be removed from the site.

How do I set my account avatar?

The following applies only to members who have already uploaded one or more photographs.

Your account avatar will appear next to your name and account information throughout the website and can be changed out at any time. Start by heading to the photography management page using the "Photos" link at the top of the site. A "Set as Avatar" link will be displayed below each of the photographs you have uploaded to your portfolio. Click the link below the photograph you wish to use and your account avatar will be updated immediately.

Once an avatar has been set for your account, the "Set as Avatar" link below that photograph will be replaced with a "Current Avatar" label. Please note that deleting this photo will replace your account avatar with the default logo avatar.

How do I send a message to another member?

The following applies only to members already registered and signed in to the site.

Members already registered at These Models can exchange an unlimited number of messages with other registered users. Begin by locating the member you wish to send a message to, either by accessing his/her portfolio through the portfolio or bulletin sections or by searching for the member using the search bar located at the top-right corner of any page.

Once you have reached the user's portfolio, click the "Send a Message" link to to the right of his/her name. You will be directed to your conversation with this user, where you will see a textarea for typing a new message along with any messages previously exchanged.

To access past conversations (that haven't already been cleared), just follow the "Messages" link that appears above the search bar on any page. All of your past conversations will be listed with your most recent conversations listed first. Any conversations that contain messages you haven't read already will be highlighted in green.

How do I post a bulletin, gig or casting call?

The following applies only to members already registered and signed in to the site.

Bulletins are a great way for registered members to find local professionals for modeling, acting or photography gigs, or simply a way to get in touch with other professionals in a specific area. When posting a bulletin to the site, it's important to remember to provide as much information about your gig as possible.

To post a bulletin or gig, click the "Bulletins" link that appears above the search bar at the top-right corner of any page (not the link that appears on the main navigation bar - this is for browsing bulletins posted by other members). You will be directed to the bulletin management page. From here, you click the "Post a Bulletin" link. Assuming you have not already posted the maximum number of bulletins allowed to a member, you will be directed to the bulletin posting page.

You will be required to provide some details about your bulletin, gig or casting call, including a title, a brief description of the work you are doing, a compensation amount (if any) and a zip code where your gig will take place. If you are looking to target a specific type of member with your bulletin, you may want to specify the gender and/or profession of the type of person you are seeking.

Bulletins automatically expire after a few days, so visit the bulletin management page often to check the status of your posts.
